'You, but bridal'.
The Devonshire family has thoughtfully curated Chatsworth, which features the breath taking Grade I house, exquisite gardens, parkland, a farmyard, and remarkable art collections. For Lizzie and her partner Paul, Chatsworth was THE ONLY choice for where they would become the new Mr. and Mrs. Herron, with Chatsworth the location of their first date (they didn't even look at another venue)!

Lizzie reached out to Derbyshire Bride after attending her friend's wedding, who was also a DERBYSHIRE BRIDE. Lizzie was so taken by another bride’s makeup that she decided to contact me herself. There’s no greater compliment than when someone books my services after seeing my work in action!

During her trial, Lizzie chose a natural look. As an equestrian leadership coach, she prefers minimal makeup and wanted to ensure she looked and felt like herself on her big day while still achieving an elevated look. My mantra, "you, but bridal," resonated perfectly with her vision...

After the trial (and an afternoon of moving hay bales!) Lizzie reached out to me via DM on Instagram, saying, "Honestly couldn’t be happier with it. I don’t want to take it off! Wouldn’t change a thing!"

While I do not expect every bride to not make adjustments, I was delighted that Lizzie wanted to maintain the look we had created together. She also opted to add a Derbyshire Bride luxury touch-up kit to keep her look flawless throughout the day.

Lizzie chose the classic 'pillow talk' shade from Charlotte Tilbury for her lipstick choice we were thrilled when the Charlotte Tilbury social media account acknowledged our trial photos, saying "such a gorgeous bride darling"!

On the wedding day, I travelled to Lizzie's parents' home to do makeup for the wedding party, which included the mother of the bride, bridesmaids, flower girl, and of course, our stunning bride Lizzie. Once the girls were ready to head to Chatsworth House, I packed up my kit and eagerly awaited the beautiful photos from the day.
Spanning 105 acres, Chatsworth Garden boasts an impressive tapestry of Victorian heritage, breathtaking water features, intricate sculptures and a stunning rock garden. Lizzie & Paul had the pleasure of having their wedding photos taken in the gardens, providing the most beautiful backdrops...
Lizzie chose to wear a chic jumpsuit for her big day. Not only was it effortlessly beautiful, her jumpsuit made for a practical choice for dancing the night away & walking around the grounds of Chatsworth at ease & in style.
Exquisite florals from Chatsworth's in house florist & a sharp tux for Paul seamlessly came together for a showstopping look for our bride and groom.

I can’t express how brilliant Alaina was from our initial communication, trial, to then doing make up not only for me but my bridesmaids and mum.
I wanted to feel like the 'me-est version' of me on my wedding day. I wanted my skin to look like skin and not feel weighed down by make up or worry that people wouldn’t recognise me as my fiancé, friends and family are more used to seeing me with mud rather than make up on my face!
I was utterly thrilled with the result, I barely needed to touch my make up and was sad to take it off at the end of the night.
One of the things that I was most grateful for was how Alaina had everything worked out for the day, which meant my hairdresser could fit in around everyone getting their make up done.
My mum (who thought having an MUA meant drag) was so pleased with her make up and it was gorgeous to see the bridesmaids with looks to suit their personality exactly because Alaina took the time to really understand what they each wanted.
